A tired haiku

Down asphalt roads, halogen gardens.
The ride is familiar now, except for
the prices. They rise everytime.

The Terms

Maybe baby, our time was up.
That's fine.

Things that fly, family ties, batteries
the sunlight at dusk.
Everything dies.

Every time we laugh, we are closer to the last. We know,
the last time we spoke, there was a lot left unsaid.
I know you like me less than you used to,
...So do I.

There is not much to do or say…
so lets talk about new places,
and the people we've met.

And when we are done…
Let us pull down the blinds, and let the darkness in.
Have a hushed conversation in awkward silence..
And make love like we used to, till time runs out...

And when morning comes back to life,
We shall straighten out the sheets...
And kiss goodbye, one last time.

Story of my far!

Whatever i want..
I can take only in little-bite sizes.
What i need..however, is a different story!

Failed attempt at haiku!

On an evening like tonight...

My head feels a little delirious with boredom…
The answers to all your questions muddled, and
An ugly shade of grey.
My mouth rattles off the clich├ęs
And it seems to work.

Leaves me...
Feeling like the jerk I am.
Forlorn and godless.
As if sprawled on the kerb,
Waiting patiently… for my turn
To smash my bones again.

His words were phallic symbols,
Always bigger than yours.

Thanks to Jo, for giving me the idea :)

The Long Walk Back

The ragged steps down the long road.
That never seemed so long before.
The bitter cold in the air seems to bite,
and gnaw at your wounds.
The evening draws the blanket on cheer
and i slip back, from where i came,
With ragged steps down the long road,
This never seemed so long before.
